Cameron Street is dedicated to supporting your child's whole experience at school. Well-being and academic achievement are both important to student success, and we all have a role to play.
To help our students, the six elements that support Well-Being not only create the learning environments for all our students, but also help them to develop the following:
|||HEALTHY MINDS AND BODIES|
Develop a healthy mind and body, and learn how to deal with challenging behaviours, make healthy choices, and enourage positive mental health.
|||PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL SAFETY|
Feel safe at school both physically and emotionally, in a safe, inclusive, accepting environment.
|||MEANINGFUL LEARNING EXPERIENCES|
Be engaged in their learning and take on an active interest in school life, with the opportunity to voice their feelings and ideas in a meaningful way.
|||SENSE OF BELONGING|
Be connected and feel a sense of belonging at school, and feel like a respected and valued individual and member of the school community.
Develop positive relationships with peers and with caring adults in the school community.
|||SENSE OF SELF AND SPIRIT|
Develop a positive sense of self/spirit reflected in their sense of personal identity and self-worth, and an optimistic and hopeful overall view about life.
We encourage you to talk to your child(ren) about the six elements of Well-Being that are a focus for our school and discussed in our classrooms daily! We also ask that you click on the links below to our Healthy Kids Team, and the resources we are able to offer our Cameron Street students, staff and community.
