The weather is warm and the sun is
shining. No, it's not summer time yet,
although it feels like it. There are
still many important events and activities
still to come as we enter the last month
of the school year.
During the next two weeks, students
in Grades 3 and 6 will complete a variety
of EQAO Assessment activities related
to Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
The activities are designed to allow
our students to demonstrate their skills,
their knowledge and their understanding.
The assessment is administered province
wide and is developed by Ontario teachers
and assessment experts to reflect curriculum
expectations.
We are also looking forward to our
annual Cameron Street Public School
Carnival on June 10, here at the school.
Our School Council has worked very hard
to plan and to organize this event.
You are invited to come and celebrate
our school at the Carnival anytime after
5. There will be food, fun, activities,
displays and a wonderful silent auction.
Funds raised at this special event go
toward purchases for our students and
the school.
Our Grade 8 students are thinking about
and planning for their Graduation on
June 24. Graduation is a special and
important time for students as they
prepare to enter high school with the
knowledge and skills they have developed
as elementary school students.
