Stuart Shanker Self-Reg Parenting Course

Through the use of The Shanker Method®, parents/guardians will learn about the connections between stress, energy, and tension and how they affect children’s behaviour, mood, and learning. This 10 week virtual learning session will help parents/guardians identify the signs and signals of stress and create strategies to help their child(ren) navigate stress through the power of self-regulation or co-regulation. *Information provided by The MEHRIT Centre

This 10-week program is being offered on Wednesdays from Jan. 7 to March 11, 2026 during the daytime (10-11:30 a.m.) and in the evenings (7-8:30 p.m.). Learning sessions occur virtually through Microsoft Teams.

Participants registered for each course will receive an email with the link to join the virtual learning sessions.

Late Arrivals

If you are signing your child in late please adhere to our signage and do not stop in the bus lane. We frequently have late buses in winter weather or buses coming in to pick up students for field trips. Cars are not permitted to pass buses in the bus lane.

Lost and Found

Lost and found items will be donated over the holidays. Please visit the office if you think your child may have misplaced an item.

Mabels labels are a great way to ensure that new items received over the holidays are returned when they get misplaced. You can order MABEL’S LABELS to label all your student’s items, while supporting Cameron Street, just visit the site, campaigns.mabelslabels.com  and type the school into the “Enter the school, organization or cam name here” search bubble, select Cameron Street Public School (Collingwood) and you are ready to shop.

Grade 8 Open House will take place on Wednesday, January 7. The event will be held at CCI in the Owl’s Nest (the old gym). Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the sports teams and clubs cavalcade, and the main event will run from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
